Kinescope HD: Paul Gluck in Philadelphia joins the blogosphere with his relatively new blog. As Paul says, he’s pushing
pixels to create a digital portal into television’s past, present and future.
The Ville Voice: This is one of my favorite blog - perhaps more of a full blown website. It was founded by Rick Redding and
covers the Louisville Market. Rick started the site as an outgrowth of his regular media column in the Louisville Eccentric
Observer. A year later, the site became a part of Full Signal Media Group, a growing entrepreneurial venture owned by
Redding and Jacob Payne. Working journalists, political insiders and regular folks help populate the daily flow.
Uncle Barkey’s Bytes/Above the Fold: Check out Bark’s Above the Fold blog. It’s run by Ed Bark, who had a 26-year run as
TV critic at The Dallas Morning News before leaving the paper in fall 2006. He may have left the newspaper, but not the
market. He does an amazing job of covering the Dallas/Fort Worth media.
WGRZ in Buffalo: If you go to this station site, you’ll find station personnel blogging, as well as many community blogs
hosted on the site.
Ir’s Eye View: Observations and commentary about communication, technology, media, and culture from longtime San
Diego newsman/News Director Irv Kass.
Alisyn in the Greenroom: Here’s an intersting mix of the topical, behind-the-scenes, video, viewer/user posts and more from
Alisyn Camerota, co-host of FOX & Friends First, and news anchor for FOX & Friends.
Crimefilenews blog: Paul Huebl's blog covers crime and politics. As the slug line says: “Crime, Guns and Videotape.”
Elaborating With Ellie: Ellie Merritt, acnchor at WCMH in Columbus, Ohio is Ellie’s take on life, parenting and media.
Storm Track 9 Weather: The name says it all...it’s a blog focused on weather from WTVC in Chattanooga.
Viewfinder Blues by Lenslinger: Stewart Pittman, a photographer at Fox station, WGHP in HighPoint, North Carolina
maintains the blog. This is definitely a blog worth your time.
Director’s Cut: Frank Macek, Senior Director at WKYC in Cleveland, Ohio gives you a "behind the scenes" look at TV news.
NBC 12 Weather: For Central Virginia weather you might check out this blog WWBT, Richmond, Virginia.
Joe’s blog: Joe Legge, an anchor at WDEF-TV in Chattanooga, TN., maintains this one.
Jeremy Jojola Investigative Reporter at KOB-TV in Albuquerque, New Mexico has a number of "behind the story" posts
about his investigative work on his blog.
Matt Mulcahy, an anchor at WSTM-TV in Syracuse, New York, posts regularly on this station blog.
I Do Promoz: Don Smith, Creative Services Director at KTVX & KUCW in Salt Lake updates his blog regularly. As Don
says, "A place for anyone with a passion for television news promotion. Producers, editors, managers - anyone who is
involved with the creation of this thing we call TV is welcome!”
3 Weekend Morning Show: The weekend morning blog was launched by Director Matt Babb at WKYC-TV. It’s a place
where the staff can be seen and heard...users can chat live with the cast and crew of the show.
Bill’s Blog: From West Michigan and Grand Rapids is the blog from WOOD-TV meteorologist, Bill Steffen.
NBC Action Weather blog: KSHB-TV, 41 in Kansas City. The NBC Action Weather Plus Team at the station keep this blog
active and up-to-date.
beFrank: This blog come from Byran Frank, a news photographer working in the Los Angeles market. As Frank says,” I
work for the truth and I love what I do.”
Eye on Blogs: KPIX-TV in the San Francisco Bay Area has a full time blogger, Brittney Gilbert. Her blog "aims to be a one-
stop source for hot topics and discussions happening on Bay Area blogs."
KAREmudgeon: Allen Costantini at KARE11 maintains this blog covering everything from the Droid/iPhone wars to media
stupidity.
Terry Anzur Coaching Blog: This blog is obviously authored by Terry Anzur, who is a former TV news anchor for KTLA-TV,
KCBS-TV in Los Angeles, WCBS-TV in New York, and a former national TV talk show host. Terry is now a journalism
educator who coaches television news anchors and reporters in traditional and new media.
The Busman’s Holiday: Bob Mayo is a reporter at WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh, but this is a personel blog where he experiments
with blogging, podcasting, and other online projects.
News Anchor Mom: Jen Christensen, an anchor in Peoria, IL (WHOI), blogs here. What’s it about? In her own words,” No
